Chris Brown drama hits new low point in Sweden

A poster featuring a heavily beaten Rihanna after an altercation with former boyfriend Chris Brown – who was infamously sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service in 2009 – that has been popping up around Stockholm as hid Swedish concert date (Nov. 19) draws near.

Less than 24 hours after Rihanna told Andy Cohen – host of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” that her famous former (and widely speculated to be current) paramour Chris Brown is “pretty dope” in an interview on the show’s Facebook page, Swedish website Resumé is reporting that at least a couple of their countrymen do not agree with her assessment.

According to the site fake posters have popped up all over Stockholm using promoters Stureplansgruppen’s branding illegally in anticipation of Brown’s November19, (the same day Rihanna’s new album “Unapologetic” is slated to be released) concert appearance in the city. They show a heavily beaten Rihanna after an altercation with Brown – who was infamously sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service in 2009 for assaulting her when they were a couple. There also have been calls by several Swedish groups to cancel the concert, while native band Panetoz has also been criticized for its involvement as an opening act.

Lili Assefa a representative of Stureplansgruppen told Resumé abusing women was no way in line with the companies image and that people have to distinguish between Brown as an artist and a person.

“Chris Brown is here in the role of artist. Chris Brown played in all Swedish radio stations. He received the prize of the MTV awards recently and he performs to sold out arenas around the world,” she said.

Brown has faced similar sentiment on other stops during his European tour and it looks like things won’t abate anytime soon. The two are collaborating musically again and while both have denied it, their penchant for being at the same place at the same time and Brown’s own video “The Real Chris Brown” continue to fuel the speculation that the two are back together. The video features images of Brown, most recent girlfriend Karrueche Tran and Rihanna and has him asking the question, “Is there such thing as loving two people? I don’t know if it’s possible, but for me I just feel like that.”
