With December just a day away people are starting to get into the holiday spirit Christmas trees are sprouting up everywhere, “The Nutcracker” is being staged at venues around the country and you can’t walk into a mall without hearing a Christmas jingle or two. There are, however, many among us who see the hubbub around them but either don’t take part, or just don’t get it. For some the holidays are no different from any other time of the year. Others have their own traditions – some holy, some secular. Among these groups are Jews. My friend Kellie Arnold, a longtime friend of the Jewish people, explains via the immortal Tupac.
